In Iowa there is a store where the doors are not locked and customers go in, select their purchases, and leave the money. I won’t mention what they sell so as not to attract thieves — you know how word gets around.

Wow that is trusting, but most people are trustworthy. I once met an elderly artist who used to let people go home with her art and pay her later. She said no one had ever failed her.
