What I Did this Week to make January go faster.

Nobody likes January, right? Here are the things I did this week to help this dark month go faster.

Exercise

Two walks a day, even when it was grey and miserable outside. I struggle if I am even shut up indoors for one day. It has to be howling a hoolie or blethering a blizzard to stop me from going out. I need to feel the air, even if it does freeze my face. These walks keep me sane (ish).

New projects

As if working on three books wasn’t enough, I decided to start a new project — photo walks. The original idea was to help people get out and about doing a new hobby or expanding on an existing one. Now I am thinking this will be great to do all year round.

Many people don’t like this time of year, but now I have a group of like-minded souls to enjoy something positive with.

Marketing videos

It is too easy to ignore existing books when you have a head buzzing with new ideas. Being persistent with marketing is not easy when you are in a month of slack sales, but hey, those sales aren’t coming if you don’t continue to beat the drum. Making videos keeps me very absorbed and time zips by at an almost alarming rate.
