Using YouTube as a Blog, as well as a Vlog.

I made a new discovery this week with my YouTube channel. I am gradually finding my way around it. As well as posting videos and shorts, you can blog there too.

On the dashboard, click on Channel Content to find the horizontal menu, and you will see Video/Shorts/Live, and the fourth option is Posts. Click on Posts to add a blog to your channel.

Like any blog, you can add text, images, image polls, text polls, quizzes, and, of course, videos.

I had no idea (until now) that YouTube enabled a text blog like this. It is a great addition to the channel, meaning you can concentrate many forms of content in one place.

As with your video content, you get analytics.

This is a great backup to video content. Sometimes, it works to have text as an accompaniment. I have used my first post to advertise a Christmas fair I will be attending.
