Whether you are a frequent visitor to literary festivals or have never been, here is a list of ten to visit. See if there is one near you or one you could travel to.
Visiting a literary festival is a great way to track down and meet your favourite authors and fellow book lovers, get advice, and, of course, find new books to read.

- The Hay Festival — perhaps the most well known, runs Thursday 23 May to Sunday 2 June 2024 — the program is published in April.
- Noirwich Crime Writing Festival — this takes place in my home city of Norwich, which also happens to be a UNESCO city of literature and where the National Centre for Writing lives. This festival takes place 15–18th September.
- Primadona Festival in Stowmarket Suffolk — Friday 26 — Sunday 28 July 2024 — this festival is the first in the UK to give prominence to members of the LGBTQI community, those with disabilities and disadvantaged groups in the arts by circumstance or background.
