Quick Tips for New Photographers

First things first. To learn photography, you don’t need an expensive or fancy camera. Photography is for everyone and anyone who can get hold of some kind of a camera.

Many people have smartphones now, and to be honest, I am guessing that’s how many people have even gained an interest in photography in the years since they have existed.

I’m not going to lie, I take most of my photographs on my smartphone these days because it is so portable. My DSLR is for special trips out. The quality of the pictures is completely comparable. I am lucky enough to have a brand new smartphone (on account of me losing my last one in the river). Everything for a reason, I am blown away by the quality and what I can do with it.

So, don’t let anyone sneer at smartphone photography. It’s just as valid as any other.

The most important tool in the taking of pictures is your eye.

How you see the world around you is unique to you.

It is good to admire other photographer’s work. Aspire to the greats. Even try to emulate them if…
