Photography Tips: Don’t Dress Up as a Seal.

Seems obvious? Not for this guy.

Many know me for my vivid imagination, but I promise you, I did not make this up.

A local photographer decided he wanted to get up close and personal with the seals who live along our Norfolk coastline.

We constantly remind everyone here not to get too close to the seals, especially during pupping season.

I always make sure to mention that I shot the image through a long lens whenever I post a seal photograph on social media.

But this photographer had other ideas. He donned a seal suit and headed to the beach to strategically position himself among the colony in the hopes of grabbing a close-up.

I can only assume he had an idea in his head that he could capture something better than he would through a long lens. I can’t imagine what.

He got a close-up, but not the one he expected. A giant bull seal decided he liked the look of this attractive new seal on the beach and tried to mount him.

It was impossible for him to run away because of the seal suit’s encumbrance.
