“Hey, let’s go shoot a sunrise at the coast.” Suggested my enthusiastic photographer friend a few years ago.

You have to be kidding me. It’s OK in winter when the sun rises late, but midsummer? 4a.m. ? Nah, no way.

Please don’t think I am lazy. For 12 years I rose at 5 a.m. to drive to market. Once I stopped that whole malarkey, I cherished my later start.

But now I enjoy an early bike ride, and the mornings are beginning to draw in a little, so it wasn’t a fiendishly early start this morning when I shot these photos.

Maybe a few more sunrises could be on the way.

Can you spot the cobwebs in the second photo? It is already feeling autumnal!

Are you an early starter, or more of a sunset shooter?
