My Printable Experiment on Etsy, Will it Work?
My love-hate relationship with Etsy continues.
Like a bad love affair, I keep going back to Etsy again and again, hoping I can change the outcome.
Sometimes things work for a while, or sporadically, before everything slumps again.
Etsy always seems to make sure you have a sale or two to begin with. Ah, it’s already different, I tell myself, but then the silence returns. Regardless of what I upload to sell, the sales seem to follow a pattern.
Etsy plays with your emotions, like a lover who changes for a while to tempt you back, then goes back to old ways, leaving you disappointed.
So after years of selling physical products, I have decided to switch to printables.
Living in the city, you would think it would be simple to pop to the post office, but these days, instead of a friendly chat and quick service from Sue in the village PO, it means endless queues and a disinterested server.
I am a photographer, and my work sells across a variety of print-on-demand sites, so why not do the same with Etsy but use printables?
