A photographic record of August — hot and humid, but extremely welcome after all those rainy July days.

August began with a wonderful weekend in Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight. It is not often we escape our home county of Norfolk, so we made the most of it.

Thankfully the weather performed beautifully, and the sky was never dull.

Back home again, blue sky days meant hopping on the train to the North Norfolk coast to cool down and explore.

Sultry evenings provided stunning sunsets in our city of stories.
