My Ghostly Experiences — Why I definitely believe in ghosts.

Ghosts exist; they really do. I know because I have experienced the inexplicable. The one thing that really sent shivers up my spine was when I discovered a child’s finger nails in my bathroom sink. No child had been in the house.

Before that moment, I had no idea what a manifestation was.

“Can you stop cutting your fingernails and leaving them in the basin?” My husband sounded seriously annoyed. He should have known this was something I would never do.

I went to look. Sure enough, there were fingernails in the basin, but they were very small fingernails, definitely those of a child. We looked at one another and shuddered. Then we remembered a gold locket we’d found in the house with a picture of a little child inside. It looked pretty ancient. Could the fingernails belong to this little one? It was a bizarre idea, but the only explanation either of us could come up with

Having looked for a house for ages and being on the point of giving up, we were excited to find the picturesque 18th-century property for sale. We fell in love with it at first sight. The owners were friendly and amenable, so I didn’t feel uncomfortable asking if the house had any ghostly residents. In hindsight, perhaps they answered a little too quickly. “Oh no,” the man said, “nothing like that…
