How I Use AI to Learn About Vintage Items.

When old meets the new.

Recently, I have revisited my vintage jewellery collection.

I used to sell items via Etsy, but over time, photography, writing, and design overtook this activity.

During my experimentation with AI, I discovered that it serves as a useful tool for identifying pieces that I previously had to search for on Google, a process that required more time due to the importance of attention to detail in such research.

While Google now has its own version of AI, all it does when you upload a picture for identification is generate a large number of website links.

At the moment I am using Chat GPT to find information, but I am investigating other platforms too.

Rather than shying away from using AI, I have decided to embrace it in this activity because it can increase my productivity speed when researching items I find and want to sell when I don’t have enough information already.

When I upload my items for sale, I write the product descriptions myself to add a unique and personal touch that AI cannot replicate.

AI is unlikely to be accurate with all data, but so far it seems thorough.
