Be More Gull — Don’t be Shy, Go Get What You Have Your Beady Eye On!
And I don’t mean chips. Don’t go snatching other people’s chips or gobbling down ducklings. That’s not friendly.
Gulls are fascinating to me for many reasons. Not least their psychological strength.
As humans, we think too much. We overthink. We worry. We obsess over how successful we are, how wealthy we are, and whether other people like us or not. We hesitate over reaching out for what we want for a myriad of reasons.
In the world of wildlife, it is all about the survival of the fittest. That’s what sets us apart from the wild ones. We have the ability to think about and help others, and that’s obviously a good thing. But all this overthinking can hold us back.
There are positive attributes we can pick up from gulls (believe it or not!).
Harness the spirit of the gull to think positively and not overthink. That doesn’t mean don’t think at all; it simply means: be fearless; be positive in your actions. If you want something, work out how to get it, then go for it. Swoop in and pluck it up.
